About Sig Sauer P220 Compact

A semi-automatic pistol operating on the locked breech short-recoil system that has been pioneered by John Browning. It has been developed for the Swiss army in 1975 and is produced to this day with various modifications. It had been sold as a modified Browning BDA in the USA in the years 1977 - 1980. 

The P220  is a combat version of the P220. The pistol features a military Flat Dark Earth finish on an alloy frame and a SIG’s Nitron over a stainless slide. This model has an extra 0.6 in on the barrel to hold a suppressor; it’s available in DA/SA only. The pistol is chambered .45 ASP and can hold 8 rounds or 10 in an extended magazine.
